Welcome!

  • Yes, I've searched similar issues on GitHub and didn't find any.
  • Yes, I've searched similar issues on the Traefik community forum and didn't find any.

What did you expect to see?

We use Dual Stack at our Company for all the Backend Services and use Traefik as a Reverse Proxy. Traefik by default on a EKS Cluster with IPv4 and IPv6 setup uses IPv4 (the Service Loadbalancer URL has A and AAA Records). IPv4 connections costs a lot more to use then IPv6 (NAT Gateway Costs) so we would really love an option to prefer IPv6 whenever available. HA Proxy for example has such an option and we could not find any possible way to use it on Traefik.

Hey @RamazanKara.

Thanks for your suggestion.

We are interested in this issue, but we’re unsure about the use case and the traction it will receive. We are going to leave the status as kind/proposal to give the community time to let us know if they would like this idea.

We will reevaluate as people respond.
