Proposal

To maintain consistent coding styles for team members and contributors working across various editors and IDEs, we might consider adding a .editoconfig. For more details check out the editorconfig site.

These coding styles will ensure that markdown, yaml, json, ..., coding styles are consistent. We should also make sure that coding styles will not interfere with gofmt, used to format Go sources.
