What are you trying to do?

Our Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD clients rely on Tailscale to push the latest version for an auto-update to trigger. That version is not visible publicly.

We should add that to our admin panel, which would allow admins of tailnets to know what client version their tailnet's devices are expected to be on, if solely relying on the auto-update to handle that.

How should we solve this?

Note: we should also show this version in the changelog
