Describe the solution you'd like

It would be nice to have an option to hold down a modifier key while pressing a mouse button to turn on a "drag lock" that holds down the the click without the user having to keep holding down the mouse button. Would allow the user to drag an item around the screen without holding down a mouse button. The lock is held until the button & modifier-key combination is pressed again. Similar to the Drag Lock feature in the Pointer section of Accessibility in Settings, but applicable to mice and trackballs.
