[Issue]: Netclient / installer is flagged as mailcious application #2920

What happened?

When installing Netclient Eset Endpoint Security flags netclient as follows:

02/05/2024 17:38:55;Real-time file system protection;file;C:\Program Files (x86)\Netclient\netclient.exe;a variant of Win32/Packed.GoLang_AGen.AA suspicious application;cleaned by deleting;NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM;Event occurred on a new file created by the application: C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe (32B8B2E3B3ECD8E194ACE65A5E5052C326D7CCAA).;F8D486788905A808B99948918CB4719236DA2339;17/04/2024 15:08:24

did you use the msi installer or the exe bundle?

I used the MSI bundle netclient_x86.msi

so it looks like this is something we need to reach out to ESET about. in the meantime, you can open your ESET and navigate to tools -> Quarantine. you should be able to find C:\Program Files (x86)\Netclient\netclient.exe in there. right click on it and select "restore and exclude from scanning" that should put it back and Netclient should function normally.
