Preferred distribution method (Github Release is pretty outdated?)

Hey Lars! There hasn't been a github release since February, but the project seems to have matured quite a bit since then. I'm particularly interested in the new bar modules. What is the preferred way to install, if not the binaries from github releases? Are the Winget and Scoop repos more up to date? Or is the expectation to build from source?
