Feature Request Ability to resize or move the font/text box

Problem

When creating objects if the objects end up behind the font box, there is no functionality or ability to interact with the newly created object unless you shift the entire object from behind the font box. This is not a huge problem but if numerous ungrouped objects are created it becomes difficult to move all of the objects.

Please reference the screen capture for an example.

Expectation

As A: Object designer/creator/end user
I want to: to move the text box instead of my created object
So that: I can shift the box from in front of the object instead of moving multiple objects or having to group objects that I want to remain ungrouped

Environment

  • Excalidraw (paid account)
  • Mac workstation
  • Web Browser - Chrome

Resolution

I have not browsed the code base (yet) to determine where the problem lies or what suggestions to recommend.

I am not sure if there are any appropriate labels to apply to this. I also just realized my capture is of the font box but not the font box in front of the object. Nonetheless, the request is for the ability to move the font box instead of the grouped or ungrouped objects.

Please let me know if additional details are required. Happy to pick this up when time permits as well!

Hi, I'm not sure I fully understand. Is it that if there's an object in front of another object, you want to be able to select the object behind/below without having to first move the object in front?
