I've found the opacity of Frame feature to be amazing while making explainers and to hide complexity
Is it possible to have something like frames, but with multiple states. Each state is a sub-diagram, but only one of them is visible at a time. Each state overlaps over the others, but since just one is visible, it allows easy swapping to show the changes

Such a feature is not present at the moment. Right now you would have to create multiple frames capturing different stages of the frame and move between them.
Possibly the experience might be a bit better when using E+ with presentations mode, easily switching between different slides (frames) with arrows.
