Gotta say I use this program many times a day and love it so far - would like to request a feature - just a hot key that'd pull up all my workspaces (for mac this is clicking the top right icon)

Option 1

Use the shortcut natively provided by MacOS (default is CTRL+FN+F8)to:

  1. shift the keyboard focus to the menu bar's (left-hand side) status menu items (right-hand side)
  2. and then utilize the left/right arrow keys to traverse the highlighted item to wherever the SpacesRenamer icon is
  3. then use the down arrow to activate it
  4. and once you're inside SpacesRenamer, you can use TAB or SHIFT+TAB to navigate within the various text-boxes throughout, as well as the update/quit buttons at the bottom.

PRO

It's utilizing a built-in and natively supported method, so it's free, fully compatible with all setups, etc

CON

It's a cumbersome method, at least in my eyes. And it's a roundabout way of achieving your much more direct "hotkey invocation → SpacesRenamer activation" request.

Option 2

Use the 4 week trial period to give Bartender a spin and see if it sticks.

PRO

It directly addresses your feature request, i.e. allows you to bind a custom-configurable hotkey to Spaces Renamer, or any other important status-menu item for that matter (though I myself just prefer to invoke the Spotlight-esque "Quick Search" bar and start typing in the name of the app icon I want to find and hit enter – a few extra milliseconds lost in the process, perhaps, but it reduces muscle memory to one shortcut and is still fairly fast enough to near the speed of thought that I honestly don't even notice the difference or any percieved inconvenience when compared to the option of a custom hotkey binding)

CON

It's $22 after the 4-week trial is over ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
