Using Sublime 3 latest build. Syntax used is Markdown GFM.

When a word within a backtick pair like customerId is to be word-wrapped, it ends up leaving the backtick on the previous line, highlights the rest of the current line up to the document map, and then continues onto the next line to be finished with the word and the closing backtick.

How to replicate:

Type until you reach the point in which the editor word wraps. On the word that triggers word wrapping, wrap that word in backticks. You will see the leading backtick remain on the previous line, the syntax highlighting remains along with it. Then, the syntax highlight wraps to the next line and the remaining text until the closing backtick.

Interesting finding. However I don't know if we can alter the behavior of line wrapping behavior.
