'Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The learning curve is a bit steep, but a few easy-to-track metrics might make the climb easier. And more fun.

Describe the solution you'd like
Add a page to the settings section called Metrics, which displays things like recent wpm, character set coverage, features discovered, etc. (It would have been SO much easier to discover the bracket gestures if I'd known they were there to discover. 😊)

Describe alternatives you've considered
Some stats can be tracked by using a typing test app, but those tests are rather artificial and don't tell you much about how you're doing in real world usage.

I'm working on a feature listing all movements available for a layout with a visual preview.
If that could help?

I think a setting that allows general info collection and later display would be nice. Things like WPM and characters typed.
It is important to be able to turn it off for people who want to avoid gamification.

The listening should be in the settings.

Collecting metrics should be fairly easy to do, but since the 0.17.0 is already big in changes, That could be for the 0.18.0 version
